Looking at Global Poverty Differently

The only way people can change perceptions about global poverty is to see a re-framing of the conversation. Re-framing the global poverty conversation is difficult,  to be sure because communications specialists run the risk of being condescending in their approach, overly complex, or completely missing the mark altogether. Global media firm, Zodiak Media, took on the challenge of showing the differences between poverty in Africa and abundance in the UK by adding a small twist to the poverty story. Zodiak asked the question: Should Your Birthplace Determine Your Future?

The video below was created by Zodiak for Ubuntu Education Fund, a South African NGO that provides health and educational support to the orphaned and vulnerable children of Port Elizabeth, South Africa.  For every view Zodiak will donate $1 up to $100,000 to Ubuntu.
